PERANCANGAN APLIKASI SISTEM INFORMASI AKADEMIK UNIVERSITAS PARNA RAYA MANADO BERBASIS ANDROID DENGAN FRAMEWORK FLUTTER DAN CLOUD FIRESTORE

Abstract

The rapid advancement of mobile technology requires higher education institutions to provide fast, flexible, and ubiquitously accessible academic services. Universitas Parna Raya Manado currently faces constraints regarding student mobile access to academic data, leading to queues during study plan submissions and new student admissions. This study aims to design and implement an Android-based Academic Information System (SIAKAD) mobile application utilizing Flutter framework and Cloud Firestore NoSQL database. The research methodology adopts an Action Research framework encompassing diagnosing, action planning, action taking, evaluating, and specifying learning. Black-box testing on all core functional features verified a 100% success rate. Usability evaluation utilizing the System Usability Scale (SUS) across 30 respondents achieved a mean score of 82.4 (Excellent grade), confirming high user acceptance and operational efficiency for students and administrative staff.
